Bought from Pan Am by Lloyd International in 1971. Seen here under maintenance during a period of lease to PIA by BMA. Aircraft went on to TAMPA Colombia and was w/o in 1994

Built for Union of Burma Airways as XY-ADG and first flew from Hurn 27 August 1957 with delivery on 26 September. To Aviation Hire & Traders 24 June 1976 as ZS-JVY, leased to Swazi Air July 1976, sub-leased to Air Botswana 1 March 1979, re-registered A2-ABY 29 May 1976. Returned to Aviation Hire January 1981 intially as A2-ABY, later ZS-JVY. Leased Royal Swazi National Airways January 1981 as 3D-ACV. Sold to United Air Services as ZS-JVY January 1983. To MMM Aero Services as 9Q-CVL July 1986. Withdrawn from use at Kinshasa March 1991 and broken up there. Seen here at then Jan Smuts International during her sub-lease to Air Botswana, carrying small United Air stickers for a brief lease. Photographer unknown

In 1962 Sikorsky developed the S-61A Payloader, a stripped down and shortened S-61N with landing gear from an S-61L for aerial crane work. This is the only one built and is pictured undergoing maintenance (rebuilding?) with Okanagan Helicopters. The company was interested in the machine, but lack of a Canadian type certificate made it too expensive to consider. The helicopter was sold to Croman as N318Y. It was written off when it settled into trees and impacted terrain after a power loss on March 26, 2002.

slide scan from my collection. - PK-GFR was operated by Garuda, by Merpati, and finally by the Indonesian Air Force as A-2802; it was retired around 2016. In January 2023, a "A-2802" was seen on display at Jakarta-Halim, but it is not sure whether it is the same aircraft.

slide scan from the NK collection. - Many of the Garuda Fokker 28's shared a similar fate: sold to Piedmont, flying for US Air and finally for Canadian Regional; retired at Saskatoon. This one was withdrawn in 2002 and scrapped in 2018.
