Seen here in operation with 22 Squadron. Written off in a crash at Koksijde, Belgium, on 3 June 1981, and used for ground instruction at RAF Gutersloh as 8688M. It was scrapped in 1985.

Delivered to the US Air Force on June 11, 1953, H-19B Chickasaw 51-3955 was retired to to MASDC on Jun 9, 1967. Brought to Canada in 1973 after turbine conversion as C-FLIB, the helicopter is pictured with Quasar Helicopters, who bought it sometime after 1975.

Entered service in 1954 and later converted to Whirlwind HAR10. On 22 June 1970, while assigned to 110 Sqn, it was damaged beyond repair at Dungun, Malaysia after suffering an engine failure and force landing into a coconut plantation. The remains were donated to the RMAF as an instructional trainer.

'National Airlines' seven-passenger Sikorsky S-55 is shown here landing at the new heliport set up adjacent to the Miami Beach Municipal Auditorium.' One of the few big US airlines to try the helicopter, National started a short-lived service between Miami, Miami Beach, Bal Harbour, Hollywood, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Delray Beach, and West Palm Beach in February 1954. Flying magazine also reported daily flights between Miami Beach and Hialeah. Information is hard to find, but this heliport's location could be worked out from the Shelbourne South Beach hotel in the background with the Raleigh Hotel on the far right.

More than 20+ Sikorsky S-55s and S-58s are used for cherry drying in the Okanogan River Valley area near Brewster, of Washington. This S-55B was first delivered to Chicago Helicopter Airways in Sep. 1956 as N875 and operated scheduled passenger flights until replaced by larger S-58s. Later N875W. Exported to Canada 1980, C-GSWL had 7 owners (MF Air Service, South-West Heli., Silver Pine, G O Island Hopper, Far West Heli, Spica Energy & Keith Franklin) before sold in May 2006 to Golden Wings Avn/Dave Smith.
