First delivered to the USAAF as 46-17166 in September 1944, to American Airlines as N90420 in November 1945, then Slick Airways; American International; California Hawaiian before joining Wenela as ZS-EKJ, VP-YUU, and A2-ZEQ. Delivered to the USAAF in 1944 as 42-72347, to Doutglas after WW2 as NC15845, then to Northwest as N95407. Sold to Trans-Avia Düsseldorf as D-ANUK, then OO-VAN with Belgian International. Converted to DC-4 Swingtail cargo by Sabena in 1966 before serving with Air Zaire first as 9Q-CHB then 9Q-CBG. After a spell with the Congolese air force as 9T-THB, it went to ZAS and from 1984 with Kinair Cargo as 9Q-CBK. It was destroyed when it crashed on 23 August 1988 near Mbamou Island, Congo.
