Delivered to the USAAF as 44-903 as a C-54E in 1945. Renamed to the USAF in 1947. Converted to an MC-54M in 1951, later became a C-54M. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB with park code CC235 in 1973. Sold as N4989K in 1978 then to Phoebus Apollo as ZS-PAI in 1998. Stored at Rand. Still there in 2022.

Withdrawn from use in 2010 and not in a good condition anymore, with some peeling paint, corrosion and damage to the wing trailing edge. Still a lovely aeroplane to look at, though.

Built as 44-9093 for the USAAF and withdrawn to MASDC in 1973. Sold to Aero Union as N4989K in 1978 and subsequently passed through several owners before joining Contract Air Cargo in 1992. Operating in South Africa by September 1997 and registered as ZS-PAI to Phoebus Apollo in September 1998. Withdrawn at Rand by 2010 and still present in 2021
