Air Atlantique painted their airworthy DC-6 G-APSA in full KLM colours. This was done in the summer of 2007 at the KLM maitnenance facility in Amsterdam. This was done especially for the film "Bride Flight". In September of that year a large Propliner airshow was organized at Hamburg Internation Airport. The airlines DC-3 G-AMPY and DC-6 G-APSA arrived around the same time in Northern Germany, allowing this Air-to-Air shot over the streets of Hamburg.

Some books and many websites quote this airframe as c/n 619, but reliable sources say that c/n 619 is WJ895. The c/n for WJ945 is unknown.

This aircraft was acquired in 1983 as an attrition replacement for five RAN Sea Kings lost at sea between 1975 and 1979. It made its first flight on 9 March 1983 using the UK 'B conditions' registration G-17-13. Delivered to the RAN on 11 May 1983. Seen here on static display at the Australian International Airshow.

Later became CP-2165 with Lloyd Aero Boliviano, and crashed on take off from Guyaramerin, Bolivia on December 22, 1994.
