Probably the most photographed DC-6 in history and this is the 33rd upload on this site alone. Originally built for Maritime Central Airways as CF-MCK (re-used on a Dart Herald). Here it has recently been imported and the MCA livery over-painted and modified with eagles etc added. Supposedly this was carried out at Blackbush in the open air. After a long and well documented history, it was preserved at the South Wales Aviation Museum, St Athan (EGSY) in 2021.

Sadly due to corrosion problems on the main spar this aircraft has been grounded though it was in taxyable condition. It formed part of Airbase, an admirable working museum, part of Air Atlantique. This also meant that there were two totally separate museum collections at Coventry, though AirBase has since closed
