Air Atlantique painted their airworthy DC-6 G-APSA in full KLM colours. This was done in the summer of 2007 at the KLM maitnenance facility in Amsterdam. This was done especially for the film "Bride Flight". In September of that year a large Propliner airshow was organized at Hamburg Internation Airport. The airlines DC-3 G-AMPY and DC-6 G-APSA arrived around the same time in Northern Germany, allowing this Air-to-Air shot over the streets of Hamburg.
KLM DC-3 just after parking on stand 27 here to celebrate 60 years of the airline flying to Scotland. The airline's Big Boss came over for this and there was a lot of press attention at the event. (Canon 40D 75mm)
To celebrate 65 years of their operations in Scotland KLM sent across the stunning 'Prinses Amalia' for a promotional tour. Engineers are just checking over the port engine before some lucky prize winners board for a spectacular low-level scenic flight across to Edinburgh (sooo jealous! - well done Peter!).
