First operated by Western Airlines from May 1946 - February 1956, this DC-4 would next fly with Alaska Airlines. Brought to Canada By Eldorado Mining and Refining Limited in 1957, it was used by their aviation department until sold to Aero Trades Western in July 1980. The aircraft was written off on December 2, 1981 at Spence Bay, NU, landing short of the runway and shearing off the left main landing gear.

Delivered to the Norwegian Navy (in exile in Canada) on 25 March 1941 with the serial 20. In April 1941 it was integrated into the RAF, keeping its Norwegian serial. It served with 330 (Norwegian) Sqn in Iceland as GS-U. The squadron provided convoy escort duties for the sea lanes around Iceland during WW2. In 1942 the GS squadron code was removed, and also the serial was by then not carried anymore, only the U was retained. On 21 April 1943 it made a forced landing on the Thjórsá River in Iceland and sank. In 1979 the wreck was lifted and brought to Northrop for restoration. In November 1980 it was given to Norway and became an exhibit at the Forsvarets Flysamling at Gardermoen. The triangle marking on the fin is the Northrop logo.

CP Air's DC-8-43s were withdrawn as deliveries of the new DC-10-30s arrived. After stripping almost everything except the registration, mechanics added some flair as they put this one in open storage. Sold to ARCA Colombia in December, but was never used and broken up in 1990.

Delivered to Qantas Airways January 28, 1967 this 707 sold to ITEL group in July 1978. Numerous leases followed until the 90s. It's pictured after return to British Midland Airways from sub-lease to Ariana Afghan Airlines in May 81. The freighter was finally bought by Grumman Aerospace in 1994 and re-built as E-8C 94-0284 for the US Air Force.

Built in 1965, this Riveria went first to the USA registered N916NS. I'm not sure how much flying it did after landing on a runway with the gear up in September 1967, but the aircraft came to Canada in 1977 and was extensively rebuilt by Viking Air at Victoria, BC airport. Owned by the same pilot until sold in 2002, it returned to the USA as N993DM where it is still current at the time of uploading.

Learjet c/n 35A-174 came onto the German register in 1981, initially as D-CAVI. It was used as a corporate jet, and later for ambulance duties as D-CAMB. Sold to the US in 1995, it left Germany again and was still active as N474KA in 2021.

The colourful VR-BHC was already converted into a -24XR version, when seen at Munich in July 1981. - 40 years later, the Learjet is still existant and preserved at Wonderboom as ZS-OEA.

Del Dec 1960 to American as N7536A. Team plane for the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team coming to Montreal to play the Montreal Expos.

Built as 42-93432, this Dakota was delivered to the Royal Canadian Air Force as 969 May 23, 1944. It served long enough to get new serial number 12953 when the Air Force re-organized aircraft aerials in 1970. Stored in Saskatoon, SK in March 1975, it was with Ilford Riverton Airways by October 1975 as C-GWYX. Last with Central Mountain Air from February 1989, the aircraft experienced an engine fire on approach to Bronson Creek, BC May 21, 1989. The fire would not go out and a forced landing was made. Both pilots escaped unhurt, but the aircraft was destroyed by fire.

Delivered to New York Airways in 1963, this Vertol was bought by Columbia in 1972. Pictured working for forest company Whonnock Industries (later International Forest Products / Interfor) with the Whonnock "W" on the tail. The two companies would set up Helifor to log in Canada. The helicopter tragically crashed October 14, 1982 during a log slinging operation in Idaho. A synchronization shaft failed and the two rotors came into contact.

BC Hydro and Power Authority used this Mu-2 for transporting employees around the province.

This 1952 Beaver was originally 51-16803 with the US Army. Among several sold to B-M Aviation Ltd / Laurentian Air Services in 1973, the aircraft is pictured leased to Tradewinds Aviation. It would overturn during landing and sink in Lake Lovelywater near Squamish, BC while filming for a movie on September 16, 1981. Recovered and repaired, the aircraft is current as C-GATJ at the time of uploading.
