An early Beaver delivered to Canada's Department of Transport on Mach 31, 1949. In service until 1994 when it was re-registered C-FDTV with Rush Air in Campbell River, BC. Next with Island West Air for about a year (2003 - 04) before a re-build by Sealand Aviation in 2005. Emerging as N814DW with a new extended aft cabin and Alaska door, the aircraft has been with Wrangell Mountain Air ever since at the time of uploading.

Built as DC-7B N341AA for American Airlines and delivered in January 1958. Converted to DC-7B(F) in 1960 and sold via California Airmotive to Zantop Air Transport (later Universal Airlines) as N752Z in 1965. Bought by the Swedish Red Cross as SE-ERS in June 1969 for use in Biafra and registered to Air Fret as F-OCOQ in March 1970. Subsequently flew as F-BTAY, EI-AWO, N90712, XA-ROW and finally HI-622CT with Aerolineas Mundo SA (AMSA) from Santo Domingo. Withdrawn from use and stored there in 1994 and later scrapped.

Constructed as YB-36, all updated features were added to this one while on the production line; retained by Convair. 4 Dec '47: First flight. 15 Dec '47: Third flight, reached 40,000+ ft. 1948: Redesignated YB-36A after several modifications. 31 May '49: TOS USAF; assigned to 72nd Bombardment Wing (Heavy) (SAC), Ramey AFB, PR 10/50: Converted to RB-36E with added four J-47 jet engines to the wings and returned to 72nd BW. 18 Feb 1957: Flown from Ramey AFB to Patterson Field, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH, for display at the Air Force Museum. 1971: Scrapped. Parts to Walter Soplata of Newbury, OH.

slide scan from the NK collection. - Continental Airlines had 15 Viscounts in service, and Channel Airways acquired 11 of them in the years 1966 and 1967; even Continental's colour scheme was adopted. Viscount G-ATUE should serve for the British airline until May 1972, when it was retired at East Midlands. It supplied some spare parts for Alidairs Viscount fleet and was broken up in 1977.

Formerly G-ASXT, 7Q-YKD served with Air Malawi until sold to Peru as OB-R-1271, later re-registered OB-T-1271. Written off 10 March 1989 when the aircraft struck a building in downtown Lima, Peru. Photographer unknown

4/45: TOS USAAF. Assigned to the 552nd BS/381st BG, RAF Ridgewell, England. It was the last plane assigned to this unit; did not see combat but was sent back to the USA after the war ended in Europe. 1948: Converted to MB-17G operating in the flying bomb project with the Guided Missile Wing, Eglin AFB, FL. Later converted to TB-17G. Then it went to the 3205th Drone Squadron, Eglin; converted to DB-17G and then DB-17P. 17 June '57: Flown to the Air Force Museum at Patterson Field, OH. 1988: Traded to the Air Mobility Command Museum, Dover AFB for the recently restored "Shoo, Shoo, Shoo Baby.
