Operated by Club Para-Commando which was a parachute club based in St-Simon, Quebec that flew two Sikorsky S-55s (S-55B/T C-GBHA and S-55B C-GBSC) as "jump ships" from a heliport beside Highway A20 that links Montreal and Quebec City. C-GBHA was imported in 1980 and C-GBSC in 1983, and both exported to the US in April 1985. No. 55912 was delivered to Grumman Aircraft in Feb. 1956 as N751A (for SAR use?) and flew in the 1967 film "Hurry Sundown." To Orlando Helicopter Airways (OHA) as N44689 and converted to a S-55B/T in the late 1970s. To OHA in 1985 as N44689 and sold to Whisperjet in 1993. WFU?

Just imported by M F Air Services, this Sikorsky S-55D leaves for it's Langley base. The helicopter (or parts of it) is displayed at the Canadian Museum of Flight and Transportation (Langley, BC) in RCAF colors at the time of uploading.

Delivered to the US Coast Guard in 1954 as an HO4S-3G and imported in 1984 as an S-55B. Here in use for spraying trees for spruce bud worm while registered to Zimmer Air Services. Withdrawn and cancelled on 8 September 1987.

No 848 NAS reformed at Gosport on 29 October 1952 and hastily worked up with ten HRS-2 helicopters to leave for the 'Malayan Emergency' with the ferry carrier HMS Perseus. 130186 to WV196, code H, but wears the last three of its US Navy serial here. Crashed in the Malayan jungle on 14 November 1956.

Prince Philip flew the helicopter himself after doing his core business - opening a school. The Rocket sports ground in Darlington was just east of the railway line on Thompson Street East, belonging to the Robert Stephenson and Hawthorns locomotive factory. Taken on charge with the Danish Air Force in Feb-1957 as 88-884. The serial was changed to S-884 in 1960. It was withdrawn from use in Aug-1966 and was sold in Sep-1966. It was subsequently stored at Antwerp in Belgium (seen Aug-1967), Martlesham Heath in England (from Apr-1072), Elstree (from Mar-1975), Panshanger (from Mar-1979), New Waltham (seen Oct-1990) and Karup in Denmark (noted Feb-1994 to Jul-1998). By 2008 it had joined the Danmarks Flymuseum.
