Built for the USAF as 53-3546 in 1955. Stored at Davis Monthan AFB, AZ in 1975. Moved to Allied Aircraft yard in 1983. To Hamilton Aviation at Tucson and modified to represent a trijet in 1988 for the 1989 film "Speed Zone" (a.k.a. "Cannonball Run III" and "Cannonball Fever"). The third jet was on the tail which has been removed. Las Vegas Express was a fake airline. It was probably scrapped soon after this photo was taken.

To the Historic Aircraft Restoration Society in 2007 and preserved at Parkes NSW. Reregistered as VH-FEO in 2023.

Preserved at the Museo Aeroespacial de la FAB, La Paz from 2015.

To Frontier Commuter in 1983. then to Metroflight and operated for American Eagle in 1985. Traded in to SAAB in 1987 and stored at Marana, AZ. Left in 1991. Painted in fake SEC Colombia markings as HK-3616X and seized by the Mexican authorities for drug running in 1992. Probably scrapped at Santa Lucia.

Delivered to Sabena as CV440-12 OO-SCT in 1956. To Frontier Airlines as N73167 in 1967 and converted to a CV580 in 1968. To Frontier Commuter in 1983 then to Metroflight in 1986. Traded in to SAAB and stored at Marana, AZ in 1987. To ERA Aviation as N566EA in 1989 then to Air Chathams as ZK-CIF in 2005. Retired at Auckland in 2019. Dismantled and moved to Castlecliff for preservation.

Delivered to Sabena as CV440-12 OO-SCP in 1956. To Frontier Airlines as N73164 in 1968 and converted to a CV580. To Frontier Commuter in 1983 then to Metroflight in American Eagle colours in 1985. Traded in to SAAB and stored at Marana, AZ in 1988. To the Bolivian Air Force as TAM-74 in 1991. Stored at La Paz, Bolivia in 1996. Still there in 2015 in derelict condition. Scrapped.

Reregisterd as C-FRDE then to Kelowna Flightcraft as C-FYTV in 1994 and used for parts as Kelowna, BC. Scrapped in 2003.

To Frontier Commuter/Combs Airways in 1983 then to American Eagle/Metro Airlines in 1985. Traded in to SAAB and stored at Marana in 1987. Converted to a freighter then to Avesco as HK-3740 in 1992. To Taxsur in 1993 who ceased operations in 1995 and it was stored at Bogota. Still there in 2001. Later scrapped.

Taken up in March 1955 by the USAF as standard C-131B 53-7793, this Convair was later used at Griffiss AFB, NY as a radar test-bed and after being contracted out to Calspan of Buffalo, NY in Dec 1966, was redesignated as an NC-131B. It was re-engined with Allison turboprops at Burbank and made its first flight as NC-131H Total In-Flight Simulator in July 1970. During a long career, the unique TIFS simulated the flight characteristics of many aircraft in development, including the X-40, Tacit Blue, Space Shuttle, B-2, YF-23, C-17, SST, MD-12X and Indonesia's N-250. Ferried to NMUSAF in Nov 2008

Delivered Braniff Airways as CV340-32 N3419 in 1953. To Allegheny Airlines in 1966. Converted to a CV580 and reregistered as N5820 in 1967. To Sea Airmotive in 1978 who were renamed to Seair Alaska Airlines in 1984. To Kelowna Flightcraft as C-GKFQ in 1987 then to Evergreen International Airlines as N580EH in 1988. To Aerovias Especiales de Carga as HK-3559X in 1990. Reregistered as HK-3559 in 1991 then to Aerocar Colombia in 1994. To the Colombian Army as EJC-121 in 1996 then EJC1121 in 2009. Scrapped at Bogota in 2013 due to metal fatigue.

Ex PH-TEA of KLM. The aircraft was only with Swissair for seven months, ditching off Folkestone on 19 June 1954 due to fuel exhaustion, with the pilots blamed for negligence. Three occupants drowned.
