K25 slide scan. Last remnant of the once impressive Ortner Air Service propliner fleet consisting of Beech 18, C-46, DC-3 and DC-7, operating out of the private Wakeman Airfield in rural Ohio. Built 1946, taken into Ortner stock in 1969, withdrawn 1976, extant until around 2007.

K25 slide scan. Built 1956. To Hoganair 1986 as N166X, N76HA, N766X. Cancelled 2010. Had a very unusual after service life being put on display in the lions compound at the Heart of Africa at Columbus Zoo in 2014.

K25 slide scan. Built 1956. Operated by Mohican Air Service as a freighter from 1976, remained based Wakeman until about 1999.

N495F made its last international flight on 27 September 1972 when it flew Sfax - Luqa. On 28 September it made its last flight ever from Luqa to Hal Far where it was withdrawn from use and in later years dumped in a Birzebbuga scrapyard. Fortunately it was saved and now resides at the Malta Aviation Museum.

A lovely Air-to-Air session featuring 082, with 084 (ex U-45, c/n MD-25) as photoship. The Dutch Navy operated 6 aircraft, 'given' to them as part of the MDAP (Mutual Defence Assistance Program). Initially serialed U-41 to U-46, from 1959 they became 080 - 085. They were based with the 5 Sqn at Valkenburg. The aircraft were upgraded to TC-45J's in 1963 and used as training aircraft for navigators and observers. Most aircraft left the service in February 1974. Here on delivery in company with F-OAXI and went to Escadrille Mercure as F-BLLN in 1963. Cancelled from the register in 1983 - fate unknown.

Built in 1943 as SNB-2 Navigator, converted to SNB-5 transport version by Beech in 1950-51. Retired from the USN in 1959. Registered as N87693, it was purchased by the museum in October 1988. The museum has restored it to SNB-5 configuration.

This 1963 Beech 18 flew with a construction company and Millardair before it was bought by Hicks & Lawrence, one of Canada's most experienced aerial applicators. With them 1967 - 72, it went to Voyageur Airways for a year before acquired by Bradley Air Services in 1973. On November 30, 1975, a main gear collapsed on landing at Ottawa and the aircraft veered off the runway in to a snow bank with major damage. Never repaired, the aircraft was moved in the spring of 1980 to Morrison's Quarry near Wakefield QC, and used at a scuba diving training resource. [Note: Photographic evidence exists of this. The long accepted story that the aircraft's cabin roof was used on Westwind III C-GBLI to increase cabin volume is discounted by photo and dates.]

Later in the year withdrawn from use at Hal Far. Saved from a scrapyard and now at the Malta Aviation Museum, Ta' Qali.
