This PZL-Mielec M-18A Dromader was the first M-18A acquired by Supermarine Aircraft (owned by the Martindale family) from Poland in August 1990 after years operating Grumman/Schweizer G-164A and Cessna A188B "ag"aircraft. The company later it bought Hicks & Lawrence's large fleet of M-18s in 2001 and flew 21 different M-18s over its history. Supermarine later moved its HQ from St. Thomas Airport to Port Burwell, ON, and C-GRBM is the last aircraft in its fleet. This 1963 Beech 18 flew with a construction company and Millardair before it was bought by Hicks & Lawrence, one of Canada's most experienced aerial applicators. With them 1967 - 72, it went to Voyageur Airways for a year before acquired by Bradley Air Services in 1973. On November 30, 1975, a main gear collapsed on landing at Ottawa and the aircraft veered off the runway in to a snow back with major damage. Never repaired, the aircraft's cabin roof from the rivet line beneath windows was installed on Westwind III C-GBLI to increase cabin volume.
