A plane on a pole... this Beech 18 was seen in a very bad condition, preserved in the African country of Djibouti. It can be found just in front of the terminal of Ambouli International Airport. It is said that the Djibouti Para Club was the last operator of the aircraft.
This classic Beech 18 was built in 1953. The air stair door was added in 1954 when owned by North Carolina Pulp Co. It spent 20 years at the Columbus Technical Institute / Columbus State Community College in Ohio from 1981 - 2001 when it was sold privately and restored.
