Identity Unknown

Cockpit section of an unknown Horsa, the most famous British glider type. These not only played an important role during the Normandy Invasion, but later also during 'Operation Market Garden' in September 1944.

Reported as both 42-4949 and 42-19027 both of which were recovered by David Tallichet in the early 70s. The 5th Air Force assigned this Airacobra to New Guinea in June 1943. The aircraft was abandoned at Tadji Airfield and remained there for thirty years until recovered in 1974. Pictured on static display at the Planes of Fame Museum, it was sold to Fred Johnson of the Museum Aeronautica in Tacoma WA in 1987 with the intention of making it airworthy. With wartime names "Small Fry" on the right and "Little Sir Echo" on the left, it returned to the Planes of Fame Museum in 2002 where it remains on display.

Reportedly bought for conversion into a UAV. An online source mentioned the testing of command and control systems. After the tests were completed, the aircraft was donated to the museum here at the airfield. Its identity is unfortunately not known.

The serial of this Mongol-B is not known but the plane is thought to be ex-Soviet/Russian AF and some sources say ex-Egyptian AF. If any one has any definitive information to share, then please get in touch.

One of two aircraft preserved at this aviation themed hotel in Cañuelas, Buenos Aires province. The fuselage of this PA-28 serves as the hotel sign. Until recently, two other aircraft formed part of the decoration, a Cessna 337 (LV-IYY) and a Cessna 414. A Cessna 310 is mounted over the hotel entrance. I was unable to find the aircraft registrations.

This Cessna 310 serves as part of the decoration of this aviation themed hotel outside Cañuelas, Buenos Aires province. After doing some research I was unable to find the registration of the aircraft preserved at this hotel. Up until recently there were 2 other planes, a Cessna 337 (LV-IYY) and a Cessna 414, but are no longer here.
