This was a rebuild of C-47A c/n 9959 into one of the few real DC-3Cs, hence the high number, delivered to Sabena as OO-AUV in 1.47. Sold by Delta Air Transport in the US 11.72. A few days before this shot on 30 May 1986 while operating for Atorie Air, the aircraft ground looped at McCarran Field and although w/o, was once again repaired. Exported as YV-98C with AVENSA in Jan 1989, becoming YV-609C with Servivensa Carga. Dumped and derelict in an overall rust-red finish at Canaima

Pictured whilst serving the Lightning Training Flight, based at RAF Binbrook, this Lightning had earlier seen service with 111 and 5 Sqns. Later performed as 11 Sqn's display aircraft and was withdrawn in 1.87 with 3212 hours after a period back at the LTF, being scrapped next year. A rare shot of the former Aer Lingus 707 EI-ANV which was sold to United African of Libya in 6.81. Seen after preparation by ATEL for Air Rwanda, the lease was not taken up. After use by Jamahiriya AT, ended up spending most of the 1990s in store at Cairo in increasing derelict and sandy condition. Scrapped by the turn of the century
