This An-2 was originally delivered to MÉM Rep. Szolgálat as a An-2R in January 1980. It is in immaculate condition and pictured in its hangar at LHGD. I was very lucky as on this day the Pope was visiting Budapest and so a no-fly zone was implemented over and around Budapest. Therefore, the airfield superintendant had no real duties that day and so he kindly accompanied me into this hangar.

Acquired by the Mid Atlantic Air Museum in 1981 and painted to represent B-25J 43-27638 'Briefing Time' of 489BS/340BG which served in the Italian campaign from 1943-1945.
