The Flygvapenmuseum's policy's to only display aircraft types that have been used in the defence of the Swedish homeland, with this MiG-15 being the only exception. It is on display because a Soviet MiG-15 shot down a Swedish signal intelligence DC-3 (Douglas Tp79, 79001) and a rescue PBY Catalina over the Baltic Sea in 1952. This Polish-built Fagot was previously 25 with the Polish AF and arrived at the Flygvapenmuseum in 1987.

During the 1930s, war in Europe seemed likely and the Flygvapnet felt there was a need for a medium-heavy bomber. Therefore, 40 Junkers Ju 86s were ordered from Germany and given the designation B 3. A further 16 frames were manufactured under license by Saab in Trollhättan. This is the only preserved Ju-86 example in the world. It was manufactured in Germany and delivered to Sweden in 1938. The aircraft type was already obsolete, yet still served in the Flygvapnet across three decades. During the 1950s it was converted into a transport aircraft and made its last flight in 1958 to ESCF.

Providing shade for spectators waiting for the airshow. Last unit is quoted by Forgotten Jets as the 87th FIS at Lockbourne AFB in September 1968, though that was not an Ohio ANG unit. She spent some time preserved at Lockbourne AFB before coming to Vinton County for display (though the same source quotes time at the USAF Museum in Dayton as well.) Weirdly enough, the next T-33 in serial sequence (57-0587) is displayed in Flagler, Colorado, where I photographed her 15 years prior.

The Flygvapenmuseum's SK 12 was produced at the Central Aviation Workshop Västerås in 1941 and was used for flight training for over 15 years. During the 1960s, it served as a tug-towing aircraft at Ljungbyhed (ESTL) before making its last flight at the Flygvapnet's 50th anniversary in 1976.

For many years, MiG-21M 2007 resided at Baarlo with the PS Aero collection.

Trailer-mounted and regularly taken on the road to events.

This 1-11 was originally delivered to BEA in March 1969, incorporated into British Airways in April 1974 and wfu in September 1992. It joined European Aviation in August 1993, flying on lease for Air Bristol, AB Shannon and AB Airlines before transferring over to European Aircharter in July 1997. Lease periods followed with Euroscot Express and Fly European (Sweden) before returning to European Aircharter and acquiring this Minardi F1 scheme in April 2001. The frame was wfu in February 2002 and stored at Bournemouth (EGHH) but is now preserved at EGFF as an airport fire fighters' training aid.

The aircraft received a camouflage that was not used during the operational era. Later transported to the Luftwaffemuseum in Uetersen, than to Gatow and nowadays (2024) in Rothenburg.

The former NVA 138 ended up with PS Aero at Baarlo, where it arrived in March 2006.

This nose-section is privately-owned but kept at Long Kesh with the UAS collection.

Five former AAC and Marines Lynxes could be found with PS Aero in 2017. XZ182 is seen here with XZ669, ZD273, ZD277, and ZD282, although some had their serial removed. Only two of these remained in 2023.
