Delivered to Lufthansa in February 1966 and transferred to German Cargo in May 1977. To PT-TCO with Transbrasil in May 1985. W/o on 11th April 1987 at Manaus, touched down to the right of runway centreline following an ILS approach in heavy rain. The right main gear collapsed and the aircraft struck runway lights and electric boxes

Seen against a background of airport reconstruction at London Gatwick. Delivered new to Balair in 1970. Returned to McDonnell Douglas as N7465B in 1976. Joined Itavia in 1977. Moved to Hawaiian Airlines in 1981, leased out to Kalitta American International Airways. Withdrawn in 1984 and converted to cargo configuration. Became freighter N932AX of Airborne Express in 1985, transferring to ABX Air in 2003. Entered service with Everts Air Cargo in 2009 as N932CE. Withdrawn in 2020 and put into storage.

100 Super Sabres were supplied to France under the US Military Air Program. When they were replaced by the Jaguar, the survivors were mostly returned to the USAF and most of those via 7519 Combat Support Squadron at Sculthorpe where they were either scrapped or passed on to UK museums or other USAF bases. The first aircraft arrived in November 1975. They were delivered by EC 70 whose "MA" to "MZ" codes they generally wore although retaining the '11' prefix of EC 1/11 or 2/11 and, in this case, also the insignia of that unit. 42165 passed to the IWM at Duxford on 17th May 1976. Current in 2025.

Last operated by 803 Sqn, damaged in July 1966 and relegated to ground instruction with the Air Engineering School at Lee on Solent. Transported to Shoeburyness in September 1970 for use in trials with the Proof and Experimental Establishment. The rear fuselage was later moved to the Pendine Ranges in Wales.
