VH-SJU arrived in Australia in 1969 as a standard Beech 55 Baron. When seen in 1981 it had President 600 written on the cowlings. The President 600 was a modification by Colemill in which the Continental O-470 engines and two-bladed props were replaced by Continental O-520 engines and three-bladed props, essentially making a C55 Baron. However, there has been no change of type for -SJU on the register, which in 2018 listed the engine type as O-470. It does have three bladed props.

Having arrived at Southend in late 1980 carrying ex-Wien colours, this FH-227 had just been rolled out after overhaul and respray by BAF. She was originally Mohawk's N7819M from 5.67 and returned to Alaska as N4716Z with Aleutian Air in 1.84. Used by University Athletic Assoc (N101FG) from 1993-99, she wound up with Atlantic Air as HR-ASK; was at Opa-locka during 2004 for u/c repairs but too much corrosion; ferried back to La Ceiba and wfu (reported derelict and engineless in 2007). Believed scrapped at Opa-locka

I well remember looking at the patched-up bullet holes in TMA 707s during their frequent stopovers at LHR cargo in the 'Eighties. This 707 suffered much the same fate as MEA's 720 OD-AFL just uploaded. Like that 720, TMA's OD-AGN was acquired from American and also perished under Israeli shelling at Beirut, in this case on 16th June, 1982

BA's first Chinook, pictured in the days when Gatwick had its own heliport, near the original airport Beehive building (still there today). In 1978 BA was the first to order the Commercial Chinook, for North Sea oil rig support missions. But by 1985 it was decided to sell the six helicopters which had been acquired. G-BJAC became N234CH then C-FHFH but was w/o at Comox, BC on 30.10.97

WWII veteran 44-35948 passed on to the Reconstruction Finance Corp, Oct, 26, 1945. Used extensively post war in the USA by several oil companies, Motorola and Grumman Ecosystems until 1974. Conair bought and converted it to an air tanker in 1975. Photographed being prepared for another fire season, tanker 32 would go to Airspray in 1987 as Conair retired the A-26s. Airspray later retired their A-26s also and this Invader went to the Champaign Air Museum (N381EC) in 2009.
