Classic view from the Queen's Building as this Trident pushes back, wearing BEA livery with BA titles. Its out-of-sequence registration was to avoid any confusion with sister-ship G-AWYZ, its original intended identity having been G-AWZY. Photographer not known.

In transitional livery after the BOAC/BEA merger to form British Airways. This aircraft was originally due to be registered as G-AWZY, but this was Not Taken Up due to potential confusion with another Trident G-AWYZ.

In the process of being scrapped, along with several sister-ships. This Trident was registered out of the sequence used for BA's other "Threes". It would have been G-AWZY but this could have caused confusion with G-AWYZ which was also in the fleet, hence the change.

Trident Heaven, Terminal One. G-AYVF was to have been G-AWZY and was registered to HSA in 4.71 but not delivered to BEA until 3.73. Scrapped at Heathrow 6.84
