Lufthansa inaugurated services to Sydney in April 1, 1965 using Boeing 720Bs, the only airline to operate this model Boeing on scheduled services to Australia. Boeing 707s soon replaced their smaller sisters. The photo shows one of the last 720B services approaching runway 07. The Lufthansa schedule conflicted with my need to be at school - I was 14 - and this turned out to be the only time I saw a LH 720B close-up.

The third Piper Cherokee Six is shown soon after it was assembled at Bankstown after being shipped from Piper. Remarkably, it was being used for joy flights out of Perth's Jandakot airport in 2017, 52 years later.
