By that time it had been reregistered twice. VH-BOB, as it had become, was trucked about museums until sold in the UK where it is to be restored as G-AKHU.

It also was for a while the air terminus for planes from the UK, mail and passengers completing the journey to Melbourne and Sydney by train.
