First flown in August 1977 as CCCP-19774 and re-registered CCCP-83966 just before this Paris show appearance, an allocation which had previously been used on the An-32 appearing at Paris in 1977. Later changed again, to CCCP-72001 but severely damaged in a hard landing at Kiev-Svyatoshino (date unknown) and wfu. Rebuilt as An-71 AWACS aircraft with distinctive forward-swept tail and registered CCCP-780151, rolled out June 1985. Only three produced before programme abandoned in 1990.This one last noted at Svyatoshino in 2009 cannibalised

This An-72 was delivered to the Soviet Union AF in 1991 (despite it wearing Aeroflot titles). In 1993, the registration was changed to RA-72962 and it has been active with the Russian AF until at least 2018. Photo taken by an unknown photographer during a rare visit of this type at Eindhoven. Operated by the 226th OAP, this aircraft brought an inspection team of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) as part of an agreement between the CIS and NATO to increase mutual security. The aircraft stayed on the ground here from 18 until 21 February 1992.

The Mil V-12 is the largest helicopter ever built and seen here the 2nd prototype and last built of the type. In 2012 it was falsely painted as seen here, with the registration of the first prototype, which was still preserved at the MVZ im. Milya factory at Tomilino by 2018. Both prototype V-12s outperformed their design specifications and set numerous world records which still stand today. This example first appeared in Monino in 1975, after the programme was terminated in 1974.
