Chris D. Stoltzfus bought this 1929 Travel Air in July 1944 and converted it into a agricultural duster. It was his first aircraft. Chris sold it in 1952 and his son Karl Stoltzfus reacquired it in 2013. While it could be restored to flying condition, Karl plans on cosmetically restoring it and putting it on display for special occasions
After being stored in Tucson scrapyards for years and picked clean of most useful parts, the aircraft was acquired by HARS in 2007. Moved to the storage area of the Pima Air And Space Museum in 2008, the aircraft was scrapped in August 2011 and the forward fuselage was place in the museum's storage area. Dynamic Aviation acquired the fuselage section in February 2017 and it was moved by road to Bridgewater, VA in April 2017.
