In 1961 Mr. Floyd Hungerford of Elmira, NY donated a JN-4D fuselage (unknown MSN), engine(s) and other JN-4 pieces to the Curtiss Museum. Over time, museum volunteers were able to restore the a/c and it is now on display in WW 1 era US Army Air Service markings.

This example, one the first 25 of 585 built under licence by the Springfield Aircraft Corporation of Springfield, MA is on display at the Smithsonian NASM's Udvar-Hazy Center. It had been briefly in use as a US Air Service trainer at Hazelhurst Field at Mineola, NY before being acquired by the museum in Nov. 1918.

The Jenny became the US's most famous WWI training aeroplane and by the time production ended more than 6,000 had been delivered, the majority of them JN-4Ds. After WWI, hundreds were sold as surplus to civilians with many Jennies continuing flying into the 1930s. This example is on display at the National Museum of the USAF.

The Jenny became the US's most famous WWI training aeroplane and by the time production ended more than 6,000 had been delivered, the majority of them JN-4Ds. After WWI, hundreds were sold as surplus to civilians with many Jennies continuing flying into the 1930s. This example is on display at the National Museum of the USAF.
