'Boeing airplane C-11', perhaps at the factory. The Boeing Model 3 was a slightly revised version of the Model 2. The other two Model 3 airframes, C-5 and C-6, were sold to the US Navy and C-11, modified from airframe C-4, was reportedly delivered to a private owner in Bremerton, Washington in July 1918. In 1946 Vega-built USAAF B-17G 44-85728 was converted by Boeing for civil use as NX4600, and designated Boeing Model 299AB. It went to Trans World Airline in Jun 1946, for use in the Middle East, and was reregistered as NL1B in Dec 1946. It served with them only briefly, being donated to the Shah of Iran as EP-HIM in Apr 1947.
