This Messerschmitt built TF-104G was delivered as KE+221 and became later 28+33 with Waffenschule 10 (WS10), a unit that trained Starfighter crews for the Luftwaffe. The Starfighter was unfortunately badly damaged on 5 April 1984 when its right main wheel got broken while taxiing at Memmingen air base. There were no casualties. The aircraft was brought to Eerding for repairs where it was assessed and calculated as damaged beyond economical repair.

This Skyservant was built in '73 and delivered to LTG61 in early '74. It then served LKG42 and JBG35 (as pictured) from 1 Apr'75 onwards. Around '83 it was transferred to AG51 and eventually sold to Turkey as 10071 in early '87. Strangely, this was probably a misidentification as the construction number is reported with registration I-IDBS and from Dec'85 as D-IDBS when it served Dornier GmbH. In mid '86 it started as a test bed with special equipment with Dornier. In early '87 the permit to fly expired and the German file closed in 1989. Turkish serial 10071 is still reported as c/n 4150.

A nice line up of LVR1 Starfighters, the unit was established at Erding as a flight continuation unit for pilots awaiting for Tornado conversion. After the withdrawal of Starfighters from the combat units, Luftwaffenversorgungsregiment 1 (Air Force Supply Regiment) in Erding continued operating with these F-104s. The LVR 1 decommissioned their Starfighters in September 1988

On 1 July 1988, 313sq said goodbye to its NF-5A/B Freedom Fighter era. At that time, the Netherlands soccer team won the European Championship. The final 313sq NF-5A received a coloured tail, commemorative to the championship . Originally, it showed "the word "AANVALLE!" (attack!, the Dutch cry out of the fans during the soccer game of the national team) on the tail, but this was erased after the aircraft arrived at Woensdrecht for storage.
