Built to USAAF order but delivered to the RAAF in 1945 as A65-72. Disposed of to Adastra Airways in 1959 becoming VH-AGU. In later years with East-West Airlines it became the test aircraft for the Interscan microwave landing system before being retired in 1979. Resurrected in the 1980s, it passed though the hands of a long list of small charter operators before being acquired by Jeff Trappett and restored in USAF gunship markings.

This is former USAF VC-47A 42-93704. It later went to the RoKAF as an EC-47Q. Air History has a picture of this aircraft in USAF colours visiting Berlin in 1965.

Seen on a cold winters day at EMA. Built for a USAAF contract and as 44-76853 on 01 May 1945. To the RAF as KN566 on 05 May 1945. To the UK civil register on 25 Feb 1952 as a DC-3C with JA Wilson as G-AMPO. To Starways on 03 Feb 1953. To Eagle Aircraft Services 10 May 1954. To First Air Trading Co 29 Oct 54. Back to Starways 16Oct56. To British Westpoint Airlines Jan64. To Norway as LN-RTO with Polaris A.T. on 29Dec 1964. Back to G-AMPO with Field A.S. on 17 Jun 1969. Then with various UK operators including Air Atlantique and Air Luton. WFU at CVT Jan 1998. On display at Brize Norton in 2023.

Renamed BKS Air Transport 01 Jan 1954. To Hunting Aerosurveys on 07 Nov 1958. Air Atlantique acquired her on 21 Oct 1977. To Air Luton on 12 Mar 1985 and Topflight in Feb 1986. Sold to Starlight Corp as N170GP on 29 May 1987. Back to Air Atlantique as G-ANAF in 1989. To Racal Electronics Jan 1998 and Thale Avionics Aug 2001. To RVL Aviation on 13 Nov 2015 and still current in 2023 with Aero Legends flying as KP220.
