The US Army operated this Otter (58-1682) 1958 - 73. The aircraft was with the University of Tennessee Space Institute 1974 - 75 until it stalled on take-off and was severely damaged. Bought by Ontario Central Airlines and re-built, it was put into service June 1977. Occasionally leased out, it had a forced landing into trees with Alexandair in 1990. Flying again in 1994, River Air bought the big bush plane in 1996, It had a Texas Turbine conversion (the fourth one) in 2002 and it current with River Air at the time of uploading.

Registered N3161Q in 1970, the aircraft first came to Malta for storage 1970 - 74 before working in Egypt for oil companies with a resurgence of off shore exploration. Pictured after service with Pyramid Airlines (1978 - 84), it was registered N513GL circa 1986 and moved to Malaga, Spain.
