The US Army operated this Otter (58-1682) 1958 - 73. The aircraft was with the University of Tennessee Space Institute 1974 - 75 until it stalled on take-off and was severely damaged. Bought by Ontario Central Airlines and re-built, it was put into service June 1977. Occasionally leased out, it had a forced landing into trees with Alexandair in 1990. Flying again in 1994, River Air bought the big bush plane in 1996, It had a Texas Turbine conversion (the fourth one) in 2002 and it current with River Air at the time of uploading.

Began its career in 1958 with the US Army as 58-1682. Joined River Air in 1996, normally operating from Minaki, Ontario for many years. Garrett TPE-331 engine installed in a Texas Turbine conversion in 2002. Repainted into what had become River Air's white and red house colours, with titles, by 2017.
