Acquired by British Air Ferries in 1981 and used as a ground trainer at Southend. Scrapped in 2004.

G-AZLR was the former ZS-CDU of South African Airways and was one of seven SAA Viscounts, plus spares, acquired by BMA in 1971 for the bargain price of £98,000 for the Viscounts and £37,000 for the spares. The airline got good use out of these aircraft, although G-AZLR was retired from flying in 1982 and put into use as a cabin services trainer at East Midlands It was later transferred to the airport's Fire Service before finally scrapping in 1997. Central African Airways replaced their Vikings on the Zambezi service from Salisbury, Southern Rhodesia to London, UK with Viscounts in the late 1950s. VP-YNE was one of them. On 9 August 1958 it came to grief on approach to Benghazi in Libya. 36 people died in the accident.

First flown 14 June 1956 and delivered to Central African Airways 1 July after having the distinction of being the first Viscount to visit the USSR 29 Junel. When the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland was dissolved and Malawi and Zambia gained independence, CAA became a holding company and the Viscounts operated with nameplates for the new airlines; Air Malawi, Air Rhodesia, and Zambia Airways. To Air Rhodesia as 1 January 1968. Shot down by a surface-to-air missile shortly after departing Kariba for Salisbury as RH827 12 February 1979. All 59 on board perished.
