Central African Airways replaced their Vikings on the Zambezi service from Salisbury, Southern Rhodesia to London, UK with Viscounts in the late 1950s. VP-YNE was one of them. On 9 August 1958 it came to grief on approach to Benghazi in Libya. 36 people died in the accident. This photo was added on 7 December 2022, and has since been viewed 585 times. |
