A little over three years old at the time of this shot, CF-ZYP was sold to Montana Austria as OE-IDA in 12.78. Seized at Houston after drug smuggling incident in 5.81 and sold by US Jutice Dept for a mere $22,500; converted to C-137C for USAF as 85-6973 in 7.85. Used as E-3 pilot trainer in 2000 and modified to E-8C Joint Stars specification, re-serialled 00-2000 (aircraft P-15)

With the shadow of one of the Comets that was supposed help Channel expand, two of the wfu Golden Viscounts stand forlorn (G-ATVE to the right). Just a month later the airline finally stopped flying altogether, the Viscounts being scrapped later that year.

I've many happy memories of trips on this machine when operated by Atlanta Icelandic for Finnair and German Cargo as TF-ABT in the early nineties. Previously TF-VLT and originally LN-SUA of Braathens from 3.71. Now stored at Subang where this picture was taken - the aircraft was still active, just after the airport had ceased handling regular scheduled services in favour of the new KLIA. Later flew in DHL yellow then stored in basic white for Gading Sari

Magnificent machine about to touch down for the 1977 IAT, from 415 Sqn, Summerside, PEI. The Argus was a unique hybrid that employed the wings, tail surfaces and undercarriage of the Britannia, married to a new unpressurised fuselage of Canadian design and US engines. 10736 was stood down in 9.81 when replaced on maritime patrol by the CP-140 Aurora and scrapped

Starting life as B-2611 with FEAT and later registered G-CNDS, VP-CNN. ZP-CAC, PP-VPD and CX-FAT, Bayu acquired this 737 in 12.01 and by the time of this shot was their only aircraft, having disposed of two other 737s. Passed to Indonesian AF in 10.04 as A-7304; the airline, once notable for their DC-6s and CL-44s, was subsequently grounded

Back then, Indonesia must have been the best place in the world to see classic 737s in a wide variety of schemes, such as the attractive livery of Batavia. PK-YTA was originally Egyptair's SU-AYI and flew for Aerolineas Argentinas as LV-ZRD before heading to Asia; since scrapped at Surabaya

The very first Convair jetliner to be built, serving as company demonstrator initially registered N801TW in 1.59, then N8489H on certification as CV-880M. To TWA re-configured as standard 880 N871TW in 10.64 and wfu at Kansas City 12.73. AJI had great hopes of remarketing 14 of the 25 ex-TWA 880s but it was not to be. N880AJ languished at Mojave till nose removed for display in Atlanta and centre fuselage taken to Minneapolis for film about Sioux City United DC-10 crash

Arriving on a MAC flight, this Super 8 later flew for Capitol, Arrow and National, becoming N952R in 5.85 and then N826AX in 7.95 with Airborne Express after service with Emery. After 11.07 operated as 9G-SIM for Johnsons Air out of the UAE. Grounded by the Ghana CAA at the end of 2013 so the airline was looking at another country to register
