Seen in its Mercer skydiving club nest, this PC-6 was delivered in 1969 to the Australian Army (A14-693) as a B1-H2. It was later on registered on the Aussie civilian register (VH-REL) from 1993 to 2001, before being sold in New Zealand, still wearing its very characteristic australian camouflage. In 2005 it was fitted with a much more powerful PT-6A-34 turbine, and became a B2-H4 with the larger fin and wingtips. In 2013, it litterally crossed the planet to be exported to France, where it became F-GTDZ.

Re-registered in France as F-GOBR, it was damaged in a crash on the 13 October 2002, before being rebuilt as HB-FMR in 2005. Re-engined with a PT-6A-34, it met its end on the 30 May 2008 over Lillo, when a wing separated from the fuselage during a skydiving flight. Luckily, nine of the skydivers were able to leave the aircraft on time, but the tenth one and the pilot were killed.
