The second VH-TVR (the first completed in TAA colours was not taken up but eventually came to Australia as RAAF A6-435). First flown 19/11/58 as a V.818 model and delivered to Cubana Airlines as CU-T622. Purchased by Trans Australia Airlines (TAA) on 15/3/62 and converted to V.816 standard. WFU on 28/12/69 but briefly returned to service from 1/3/70 to 4/4/70 before retiring with 21213 hours of flight time. TAA donated the aircraft to the Moorabbin Air Museum in June 1970 but due to lack of space it was stored off site for 17 years before returning to Moorabbin for static display (minus tail).

slide scan from the NK collection. - This ex-Continental Airlines Viscount was on the British register from 1967 until 1975, and served for Channel Airways, British Air Ferries, and Alidair. Thereafter, it was sold to Far Eastern Air Transport as B-2031.

Seen at Luqa wearing small 'The Malta Airlines' underneath a logo set into in the cheatline. I am uncertain of the significance of this logo but it was later replaced by the Maltese Cross.

Leased from Alidair by British Air Ferries between April and October 1973 and still in the former's colours. To B-2031 in 1975.

Slide taken by Norbert Kröpfl. British Midland Airways acquired all seven Viscounts from South African Airways in 1972. G-AZLP, the oldest of them, was flown from England for more than 10 years before eventually being retired at Teeside.

Delivered to British European Airways on 1st January 1954 and sold to Cambrian Airways on 1st April 1963. Crashed on approach to Liverpool on 20th July 1965 while on a positioning flight from Ronaldsway, Isle of Man.

Originally built in 1958 as N6597C for Northeast Airlines it was re-possessed by Vickers in 1963 due to non-payment of lease fees, and was sold at auction to what was to be the first of a number of corporate owners, initially as N3939V and later as N8989V, until being acquired by Ron Clarke Enterprises in 1974. It served with Clarke's company, or one of its Go Group associates, until late 1989 when it was withdrawn from use at Tucson. During its time with the Go Group it was used by such musical luminaries as Bad Company, The Who, Tom Jones, Rod Stewart and David Bowie.
