Taken on strength by the US Army in 1962 as a CV-2B, this Caribou was deployed to Vietnam in 1965 where its STOL capabilities were put to good use. In 1967 all fixed-wing Army aircraft were taken over by the USAF, this aircraft now designated as a C-7A being assigned to the 457th TAS at Cam Rahn, S Vietnam, later to the 536th TAS. Lonaed to Air America as 193, it flew in Laos. In 1972 it was relegated to AFRes service at Maxwell AFB, AL then Dobbins ARB, GA before retirement and ferry flight to the USAFM in May 1983

USAF C-7B 62-4182 was moved to the Western International Aviation scrapyard at Davis-Monthan in Sep 1986. It was registered to Newcal Aviation as N60NC on 5 Sep 1986, but this registration was never applied, and the aircraft did not leave the Western scrapyard until 30 Sep 2020 when it was moved from the Western International scrapyard to a compound at the Pima Air & Space Museum, reportedly for a rebuild using parts from 62-4150/N92NC c/n 86 and 63-9739/N80NC c/n 186. It was again registered, now as N68NC, on 15 Jun 2021, but this registration too was never applied to the aircraft. This Caribou was still stored at the museum at the time of upload, with no sign of any rebuild.

First assigned to the 17th Aviation Company US Army, this C-7 was transferred to the USAF in January 1967, serving with the 483rd TAW between 1968 and 1971 in Vietnam, first at Phu Cat AB then at Cam Ranh AB. On return to the US it was allocated to the 908th TAG (AFRES) at Maxwell AFB, AL and entered storage at MASDC in January 1984, moving to the museum at the end of the following year

One of the first three Caribous received by the US military, constructed as a YAC-1 and first flown with test registration CF-LKU-X. The trio were delivered to the US Army in October 1959. In August 1961 it became the first of type to be deployed to Vietnam and was used as the South Vietnamese president's aircraft. Leased to Air America in 1962. In 1967 it was assigned to HQ USAF Logistics Command as a YC-7A at Wright Patterson AFB, returning to the Army Aviation Test Board, Texarkana, TX in 1970. In 1975 it flew with the Army Helicopter Demo Team (Silver Eagles), joining the museum in 1983

Delivered to the US Army as 62-4178 in 1963. Transferred to the USAF in 1967 then to the South Vietnam Air Force in 1972. Returned to the USAF and stored at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ in 1977. Left in 1979 and returned to service with the US Army. To Union Flights as N5463 in 1986 then to Operation Blessing International in 1997 and used for relief flights in Africa. Withdrawn from use at Goma, Congo by 2007. Cancelled from the register in 2013.

Delivered in 1961. Preserved at Travis AFB, CA from 1991,

Delivered in 1963. Transferred to Costa Rica Security Police as TI-MSB then MSP002 by 1997. Damaged at Liberia Airport, Costa Rica in 2013 and preserved there.

Delivered to the US Army as 61-2396 in 1962. Sold as N9011R in 1986. Cancelled as exported to Mozambique in 1993. Noted derelict at Komatipoort, South Africa in 1996. Used as an advertising billboard at the side of the N4 road there in 2019.
