After returning from Vietnam it was assigned to the USAF Reserve. It is currently on display at the USAF Museum in the Southeast Asia War Gallery.

This C-7 is actually SE Asia combat veteran 62-4193 but is painted to represent an aicraft flown by Maj. Hunter Hackney on 25 th Aug. 1968. On this day, he flew several low level aerial resupply missions through intense enemy fire, incurring heavy damage, an action for which Hackney was awarded the Air Force Cross.
