Colombian Air Power demo featuring AC-47T FAC1683 at F-AIR 2008 in Rionegro. Ex 43-49876, ex AdlA, ex IDF/AF 022/4X-FNQ, ex N472DK after conversion with Basler as the 8th AC-47T for Colombia it was delivered on 13 July 06, just two years before this picture was taken.

ex 43-16409 to the French Air Force as 316409 on 01 July 1946, to F-BTDG, to CF-POX on 03 October 1972, N8509P in September 1979. Operated by the DOS Air Wing in Colombia as PNC-213 since 30 July 1990 and transferred to the PNC officially in December 1998, although stil with DOS Air Wing titles in 2000. It was slightly damaged last month, on 12 February 2024.

Preserved in the colours of Allied Airways. Entered the UK register as G-ADAH on 26 Oct 1938. PWFU on 18 Feb 1959. By Jul 2022 the aircraft was on display at Hooton Park.

By 12/60: Registered N6365T. 1963: Civil Air Patrol, Detroit, MI. 1980 to 1988: Restored. 1/90: Timothy Young, St. Charles, IL. 1990: Michael Schultz/Wings on Dreams, Hamburg, Germany. 8/24/06: Hans Lauridsen, Carefree, AZ, for his museum.

Built in 1957 as CF-JXP. Served with ten different Canadian operators before export to Anchorage in 1991 as N930TG. Later operating for Iliaska Lodge, Iliamna, Alaska. In a 1999 dawn takeoff accident from a lake near Iliamna, in a rolling swell, the aircraft lost its floats and sank. Recovered and rebuilt. Moved to Ketchikan with RdM Pilot/Guide Ltd in 2006. In another take off accident in 2017 while operating for Alaska Seaplane Tours, capsized and sank to the bottom of Big Goat Lake, 25 miles east of Ketchikan, with the pilot and six cruise ship passengers swimming safely to the shore. Subsequently salvaged.

On 17 August 1978 she crashed at Lydd Airport, Kent, when aircraft ran to the the left of the runway during it's take-off roll, pilot tried to correct but crashed onto the intersecting runway and the Dakota burnt out (photographer not known)

Photographer: Al Rodriguez. K25 slide scan. Built 1953 as CV-340 N4812C for Delta, converted to CV-440. Aspen Airways 1970, sold to Carolina Aircraft Corp 1978. Aero Leon XA-ALS March 1979, returned to lessor November 1979. Briefly registered N49579 1979, before reentering service with Aero Leon as XA-KEG 1980. Last noted derelict at old Morelia airport in 1984.

On display at Musée de l'Air at Le Bourget. This is ex-USAAF 44-8889 that was built as a B-17G at Lockheed Vega, Burbank and assigned to the 8th AF but kept in storage. In 1949 it was assigned to 7499 Air Force Composite Squadron (AFCS) in Germany as an RB-17G for photo-ELINT, which flew peripheral recce missions to detect Soviet radar. The aircraft was sold in 1954 to Institut Géographique National (IGN), modified for aerial mapping and operated out of Creil. It was retired to the museum in 1976.
