Built as Kfir C1 (IAF serial 709) and later modified to Kfir C1P. 709 was leased to the USN between Apr'85-May'88. The USN/USMC leased 25 Kfirs between '85 and '89, which were officially designated F-21A. They were modified for use as unarmed adversaries. 12 F-21s were painted in this 3-tone blue-gray "ghost" scheme and were operated by Fighter Squadron (VF) 43 "Challengers" ('AD'), operating out of Oceana. In 1988 they were returned and replaced by the F-16N. The other 13 were assigned to VMFAT-401 at MCAS Yuma (AZ), these were replaced by the F-5E in '89. 709 is last seen stored at Tel Aviv.

Two days later SU-BCA crashed on a training flight at Luxor. All five on board were killed.

Redesignated as A-26A and deployed to Nakhon Phanom Royal Thai AFB for combat over Vietnam. 10/69: Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ. 1971: Registered c/r N268G. 1977: Air Spray, Edmonton, as C-GXTF. 7/78: Arthur W. McDonnell, Mojave, CA. registered as N22939 and flew the plane in air races as "The Mojave Kid." 11/80: Ferried to NMUSAF

This was the very last of 285 C-141 Starlifters built by Lockheed Aircraft Corporation (initially constructed as a C-141A and converted to first to a C-141B and then to a C-141C), and it flew the last line mission by the type, on 7 April 2006, from Wright-Patterson AFB to Scott AFB. Preserved as a representative of the 445th Airlift Wing at Scott AFB located in Belleville, IL.
