29 Nov '44: TOS USAAF as C-47B. Nov '44 to 1947: four units at three bases. Ca.1947: Converted to C-47D. 1947 to 1974: Seventeen units at six bases. 30 Jun '75: Retired and flown from Eglin AFB, FL to the Air Force Museum. It was the last C-47 in USAF service and ended with 20,821 flying hours.

ATR-42 I-ATRF was withdrawn by its last operator Air Industria after a taxi incident at Rome Fiumicino in March 2003.

Ca.late 1950s or early 1960s: 605th Air Commando Squadron/24th Composite Wing, Howard AFB, Panama. 17 May 68: Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ for storage. 20 Mar 72: Flown to the Air Force Museum, where it was restored to represent a C-46 flying the "Hump" during 1944.

First flight July 30th 1987, delivered new to Air France August 13th 1987, so rather new when I took this photo September 19th 1987. February 6th 2001 N245TR (Triton Aviation Services). April 9th 2001 LV-ZXV Austral Linéas Aéreas (Leased from Triton). WFU at Buenos Aires 2006. Seen on final apporoach rwy 24 in September 1987.

First flight at Renton February 29th 1968, and delivered new to National Airlines, "Ship 42 and named "Karen". In January 1980 mergen into Pan Am as N4742 "Clipper Friendship Force". December 1991 stored after tne end of Pan Am. November 1992 XA-SFF Aeroexo. April 1994 stored at Monterey, nand later broken up. Seen on final approach rwy 24 rerurning from LHR

2 Jul '39: TOS USAAC. 7 Jul 39: Fairfield Air Depot, Patterson Field, OH. 10 Jul 39: 1st Transport Squadron/10th Transport Group, Patterson Field. 31 Jul 42: Bowman Field, KY. For the next nine months the plane was assigned to numerous airfields. 9 Mar 43: Middletown, PA, Air Depot, then the 496th Air Base Squadron. 1944: Air Transport Command, Cincinnati, OH, for use as a ferry aircraft. 2/45: SOC with over 5,000 flight hours. Beginning 2/44 passed through several hands. 19 Sep 49: Crashed with fatalities. Repair with more owners as well as aerial application. 1970: USAFM. By 1977: Restored
