Delivered to Trans Canada AL as CF-TKB in December 1960 and transferred to Air Canada when TCAL was renamed on 1st June 1964. It was re-registered as G-AYFN to Air Holdings in June 1970, leased to Thor Air Cargo as TF-YES in March 1971 but restored as G-AYFN in October 1971. Sold to Air Trader Sweden AB in December 1971 it returned as G-AYFN in March 1973. Sold to Invicta International in October 1973 it served until September 1975 when bought by Europe Aero Service as F-BXAJ. It flew its last service on July 27, 1979 and withdrawn from use at Perpignan and was last noted in one piece in 1985.

First flown by Sud-Aviation in January 1964 as F-WLKI and retained for Sud-Lear auto land development as F-BLKI. Sold to Austrian Airlines as OE-LCU in May 1966 and to Euralair in January 1972. On to Air Martinique as F-OGJD in March 1980 and to Aerocesar as HK-2597X a year later, leased by LAS - Lineas Aereas Suramericanas in August 1989 - my 1992 photo at #19813...

First flown in October 1960, XM172 joined 56 Sqdn at RAF Wattisham and when the unit formed the 'Firebirds' display team, this was one of their aircraft. A final flight was made to Coltishall in June 1974, where it was prepared for gate guard duties, joining Spitfire SL542. Initially carrying 145 Sqdn (226 OCU) marks as operated till 1970, it was later painted in 226's own red/white colours of the mid-1960s. Removed to Booker in 1989, the Lightning was bought by a private owner at Spark Bridge in 2006
