After wartime service with the USAAF as 42-72209, the C-54A was operated post-war as N90432 by American Airlines (1946-1950, Eastern Airlines (1950-1955) and leased to Flying Tiger Line, probably supporting Cold War DEW Line radar site contraction in the Arctic. Pacific Western Airlines imported it as CF-PWB in it Nov. 1957 and it flew with the airline for 15 years until sold to Cryderman Air Service as "N-74183" in Nov. 1972. It was photographed three weeks after a hydraulic line burst when departing for Everett from Chico, CA. Flew for many years in Florida. Preserved at MCAS Miramar, CA.

It is probably not Andrews AFB mentioned by previous slide owner.

Delivered new 28th May 1976 and transferred to United 11th Feb 1986, then re-registered N144UA May 1986

Flown as part of the Strathallan Air display with no external markings. C of A expired May 1976. Subsequently to Neil Butler at Montrose and reported with him at Laurencekirk, Scotland in 2020.

Delivered new 28th March 1969, leased to Zambia Airways as 9J-ADZ 30th March 1975, returned as EI-ASA 18th June 1976 and to Euralair as F-GHML 1st Apr 1990

Delivered new to BEA as a passenger Vanguard 16th Aug 1961 and converted to freighter (Merchantman) March 1973. Merged into British Airways Apr 1974 ,transferred to Air Bridge Carriers Dec 1979 and withdrawn from use EGNX (East Midlands) 24th Dec 1992, scrapped

Ex Swissair HB-ICE, registered 7th June 1975 and withdrawn from use LEPA (Palma) March 1981

Delivered new 14th Feb 1973 and to Viasa as YV-128C 7th Sep 1992

Operated by the Elizabeth Revyuh Foundation, and sold to the Bird of the Sun Air Travel Club the following year.

Shown just after retirement by CJS Air Cargo with their symbol on its fin. The last two letters of its previous N179AV registration are showing through on the rear fuselage.

Leased from Airbus May 1976 to January 1977. Later flew as F-BUAF both for Air Inter and Air France.

Built in June 1943 as C-60A for USAAF as 42-56019. To G-AGII and Norwegian AF T-AD. Later SE-BTI with Aero Nord. Returned to USA in 1956 receiving Learstar mods.

Built at San Diego in May 1955 and delivered to the USAF as 53-7805. Transferred to the US Dept of Commerce in May 1976 with US registration matching its serial.
