A65-86 eventually ended up with the Australian Fleet Air Arm historic flight as VH-NVD.

This aircraft was delivered to the USAAF in August 1944 as 43-16369

Not in bad nick for a 68-year old aeroplane, although not quite original. The radio compass makes a fine sight, however it is not operational (dual ADFs and RMIs are fitted).

This DC-3 flew around the world in 1986 as C-FGXW to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the DC-3 and the World's Fair on Transportation and Communication held in Vancouver. It departed on its two month journey from Vancouver on June 10, 1986. The story of this journey is told in Propliner issue No.28.

Delivered to AA as DC-3-277A NC21768 in August 1939. Taken into USAAF service as C-49H-DO, 42-65580 and returned to AA post-war. Other regns worn include N21768, XA-RPN and N22357.

Taking off at Flying Legends 2014. Painted in unusual Norway AF / RAF No. 20 Transport Squadron markings, which were only briefly carried in Norway between June 1945 and Feb 1946. This Squadron, unrelated to the RAF's own No.20 Squadron, was in fact a continuation of the German Air Force 20 Transportfliegergeschwader. The squadron, formally controlled by the RAF, was the first step in re-establishing civil aviation in Norway after the war, using several DC-3s and Lockheed L-18 Lodestars. In 1946 the DC-3s were transferred to DNL, Norway's main pre-war airline and one of the predecessors of SAS.

Built for the USAAF as 42-6492. Later regns include NC34952, N34952, N233PB and YV-427C.

This was Cathay Pacific's first aircraft and named "Betsy".

The only one of the four DC-3's we saw at Bridgewater that wasn't a sprayer.

Notice a tail badge painted over, and the red bars removed from the insignia--became N8040L.
