Mildenhall Air Fete 1979. Operated by NAF Mildenhall. Delivered to the US Navy on 16 May 1956. Later to NAF Sigonella who sent it to storage at MASDC on 02 June 1986. To Lamb-Depollution, Tucson, AZ on 21 Dec 2020 for scrapping.

Photographer not known. The location should be Rome Ciampino according to the following aircraft history: Delivered new to Alitalia 1957-02-27 as I-DOVE. Transferred to Italian AF, 306° Gruppo, 1961-02-23. Coded by Italian AF as SM-2, SM-5, SM21 Assigned to 31° Stormo and coded 31-21 in October 1976. Withdrawn from use and stored in Ciampino 1978-02-18. Demolished in Ciampino in April 1987

Delivered to Sabena as CV-440-12 OO-SCS in 1956. To Frontier Airlines as N73166 and converted to a CV580 in 1968. To other operators from 1984 then to Kelowna Flightcraft as C-GEUZ then C-FHKF in 1999. To Conair in 2000 and converted to a firebomber. Last flight to Victoria, BC for preservation at the BC Aviation Museum in 2022.

Delivered new to SAS 13 June 1956, she served on European and Scandinavian routes for the tri-national airline until November 1976 when she was sold to Botswana Desert Airways and the registration 3D-AAC was applied, but not taken up. She was then sold to Nor-Fly as LN-MAP where she remained until 1983 and withdrawn from use at Fornebu where she ended as a fire trainer. During 1998 she was moved to Oslo's new international airport at Gardermoen where she is seen on a cold winter's day after an exercise

Operated by Dow Jones. Built as N4818C for Delta Air Lines and delivered on 27 Oct 1953 as a Convair 340 and later converted to a 440. WFU and stored in Apr 1970.Dow Jones operated it between 1974 and 1984. Cancelled by the FAA as destroyed in 1996.

North Central merged into Republic Airlines in 1979 who merged into Northwest Airlines in 1986. To other owners after 1992 then to Air Venezuela as YV-974C in 1997. Withdrawn from use at Caracas when they ceased operations in 2001. Scrapped by 2005.

Withdrawn from use at Caracas when they ceased operations in 2001. Derelict by 2003. Scrapped by 2005.

Northeast Airlines CV-240 at HYA, near Cape Cod. N91241 was worn earlier by c/n 161, which crashed at Portland, Maine on 11 August 1949, just four months old. It was replaced that September by this machine (c/n 162). Apparently its first registration was N90838. Perhaps it was intended for another customer?
