Conair Aviation Douglas A-26, C-GHLK was photographed departing the Abbotsford air tanker base on July 6, 1975. Conair was operating a large firefighting fleet of Grumman TBM-3 Avengers, A-26 Invaders and Douglas DC-6Bs at the time, all of which would be parked on the grass at Abbotsford during the off season. Skyway Air Services of Langley, BC first acquired Grumman TBM-3s in the 1960s for spraying and fire fighting. The fire fighting division was spun off as Conair Aviation in April 1969 with a fleet of ex-RCN and US Navy single-engine Grumman Avengers which were later sold to Forest Protection in New Brunswick. Avenger CF-MUE/618 was photographed being washed at the BC Forest Service tanker base north of the Conair hangars at Abbotsford on July after attacking a receives a wash after a mission on July 6, 1975. It was exported to the USA as N40402 in 2001.

This Grumman Goose was photographed at Stewart Airport (CZST) while operating scheduled service to Prince Rupert. In the early 1980s, Jim Pattison Industries bought and merged several coastal airlines to form Air BC, including Trans-Provincial Airlines (TPA) which flew C-FEFN in this yellow colour scheme. When Air BC added new Dash 7 routes, most of its seaplane services (except DHC-6 routes) were transferred TPA, which became separate airline again. Steward is at the head of the Portland Canal which forms part of the border with SE Alaska. It is the northernmost coastal community in BC.

This Douglas A-26, C-GHLX, was imported from the US in 1975 and became by Conair Aviation's air tanker No. 32. The aircraft still wears its former US colour scheme, with the US history documented on this site by other photographers. On the far left of the photo is a gunbutt from there wartime RCAF Abbotsford (No. 5 OTU) base and on the right are the fuel pumps and fire retardant tanks of the old BC Forest Service air tanker base. This aircraft was later repainted in Conair's new red and white colours. It was de-registered by Conair in Dec 1985 and registered to Air Spray 1967 Ltd. in July 1987

This Beechcraft 1900C is operated by Planemasters Jet Charter of Chicago, IL and was one of just a couple aircraft seen outside at Ithaca Tompkins International Airport, NY, which serves the southeastern Finger Lakes region including nearby Cornell University. The 1900C still wears the colours of Pacific Coastal Airlines of Vancouver, British Columbia, which operated it as C-FPCX between June 2006 and August 2011 with the image of tug boat and later a mountain biker painted on the tail.

This 2015 model Airbus EC130T2 is operated by Air Method's LifeNet NY network, which is a for-profit community-based air ambulance program that has nine helicopter bases in NY (Hornell, Seneca Falls, Watertown, Potsdam, Selkirk, Fultonville, Wallkill, Ticonderoga, Harris, Sidney) and one across the state border in Sayre, PA. It was seen inside the company hangar at the Hornell Municipal Airport base (HTF) in Steuben County. The aircraft carries the logo of the "Lifenet Seneca Falls" base at Finger Lakes Regional Airport on the upper engine cowling. It flew 10 flights the day it was seen.

This 2011 model Airbus EC130B4 is operated by Air Method's LifeNet NY network which is a for-profit community-based air ambulance program that has nine helicopter bases in NY (Hornell, Seneca Falls, Watertown, Potsdam, Selkirk, Fultonville, Wallkill, Ticonderoga, Harris, Sidney) and one across the state border in Sayre, PA. It was seen at the Hornell Municipal Airport base (HTF) which is a railway manufacturing town in Steuben County. The Hornell base flies a 50/50 mix of scene calls/transfer flights with most patients flown to hospitals in Rochester, NY.

This is one of eight Pilatus PC-12NGX (PC-12/47E) operated by Ornge Global Air to transfer patients between medical facilities in the Province of Ontario. It landed at London Airport (CYXU) during a pause in Airshow London 2022 with a patient it picked up at Owen Sound Airport (CYOS). This was the fourth PC-12 acquired by Ornge and was imported to Canada in September 2009.

This private Aeronca 7AC, CF-FPP, was imported to Canada in 1973 and has had eight owners over almost 50 years in Quebec and Ontario. In the 1970s, all CF-xxx registered aircraft had to be repainted with a revised C-Fxxx registration, but its now possible for older aircraft to carry the CF-xxx registration again.

This RCAF Airbus A310 operated by 437 Transport Squadron based at CFB Trenton, Ontario was built in 1987 and delivered to Wardair Canada in February 1988 as C-GBWD carrying the name of Canada's Aviation Hall of Fame member C.C. "Carl" Agar who co-founded Okanagan Helicopters in 1947. Wardair took delivery of 12 A310s but ran into financial trouble and was sold to Canadian Airlines in 1989. The Canadian government bought five of the A310s in 1992/93 to replace its aging military Boeing 707 fleet. This aircraft originally wore a grey colour scheme but was repainted in VIP colours in 2013.

This former Greenlandair Dash 7 (msn 113) was imported to Canada by Trans Capital Air and registered C-FERO on March 11, 2015. Four years later (to the day) it was registered to Air Tindi on March 11, 2015 which acquired all but two of Trans Capital's Dash 7 fleet. It was photographed on Labour Day through a terminal window parked on the south side of CYTZ with four other inactive Dash 7s.

The Canadian Coast Guard Parry Sound Base is home for a Bell 412EPI and Bell 429 used to support the maintenance of marine navigation aids throughout the Great Lakes region. The base is located at 28 Waubeek Street, Parry Sound, Ontario, on the shores of Georgian Bay, Lake Huron. It's 197 km north of Toronto, and about 1 km northeast of the Parry Sound harbour seaplane base.

This Westjet Encore Dash 8-400 landed at CYXU during a pause in the flying performances at Airshow London 2022. It was assembled at Downsview (CYZD) in 2015.

This USAF RC-135W Rivet Joint, 62-4131, started its reconnaissance aircraft career as RC-135M Rivet Card converted from a C-135B transport during the Vietnam War. Today it is operated by the 55th Wing based at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska.

Two F-15C Eagles from the 122 FS / 159 FW / Louisiana ANG based at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base New Orleans, LA flew at Airshow London 2022 together and in formation with a F-22.

This Air Canada Express/Jazz Dash 8-400 landed at CYXU during a pause in the flying performances at Airshow London 2022. It was assembled at Toronto's Downsview Airport (CYZD) in 2011.

This Douglas C-47D is owned by the Yankee Air Force Museum and based at Willow Run Airport (KYIP) in Michigan. It was previously flown in an all natural metal colour scheme. It was one of three warbirds in the flying program at Airshow London 2022 (with a B-17 and P-51).

The CT-155 Hawk flying at Airshow London 2022 was flown by an experienced instructor from the Republic of Singapore Air Force (with 1,000+ hr on Hawks), which trains its fighter pilots in Canada. The CT-155 is operated by the NATO Flying Training in Canada (NFTC) program, which is managed in partnership with CAE Military Aviation Training. CT-155s are operated by the 2 Canadian Forces Flying Training School at CFB Moose Jaw, SK and 419 Tactical Fighter Training Squadron at CFB Cold Lake, AB. The Hawk is a transitional aircraft between the Beech CT-156 Harvard II trainer and the CF-188 Hornet.
