Constructed as A-26C-40-DT 44-35601 by Douglas at Tulsa. Registered NL202R in November 1956. Substantially damaged in January 1965 when gear retracted during an aborted take-off at Oklahoma City. I photographed the aircraft in executive configuration with large windows at Santo Domingo on 8th Oct 1980 in a cream and brown c/s. To Confederate Air Force in 1998

Constructed as B-17G-85-DL 44-83514 by Douglas at Long Beach and assigned to the Pacific Theater of Operations, stored in Japan post-war. Redesignated as RB-17G in 1947 and signed for photo-mapping at Clark Field, Philippines. Transferred to Eglin AFB, FL in 1950 and converted to DB-17G for ASR operations. Converted again to DB-17P I 1951 for 3215th Drone Sqdn, Patrick AFB, FL. Converted to fire tanker late 1960, having become N9323Z. To Confederate Air Force 1977. Now flies as "Sentimental Journey" (sharing the same name as Pima's B-29) representing a B-17 of the 457th BG, RAF Glatton.

Constructed as B-25J-10-NC 43-35972 by North American at Kansas City and converted to TB-25N in 1955. Registered N9552Z in 1960 and modified for agricultural use with tank and spray bars fitted. Joined Confederate Air Force in October 1991 and first flew again after restoration in May 2009

Delivered to the USAAF in 1943 and first served in Algeria with the 11th TCS, later in 1943 transferred to Sicily and involved in several high profile drop missions. Moved to various bases on Italian mainland in 1944. By May 1945 it was the other side of the Atlantic based in Trinidad, then Belem in Brazil. Up for disposal in February 1946 and sold in 1947 as NC53426 and to SAM Colombia in 1948 as C-75, then C-505 & HK-505. After 1951 registered N3938C, N66W, N5V, N5144, N514X (wheels up landing 1971), N53ST and to Commemorative Air Force - Arizona Wing as N147AZ in 2016

After USAAF service as 45-627 this aircraft was leased to Pan American as N88945 "Clipper Gladiator" in April 1947 serving until February 1954 when it was returned to the USAF. Retired from service in February 1973 it was stored at MASDC Tucson until civilianised as N88945 in early 1981, becoming N811E with Globe Air the following year. When Globe Air closed in 1985 it was stored until acquired by Brooks Air Fuel in June 1991 and converted as a fuel tanker, sadly it was written off on 8th October 1993 when it veered off the runway landing at Point Lay, AK., with a cargo of unleaded auto fuel.

Operated by the Confederate Air Force. Delivered to the USAAF as a B-17G 44-83514 on 13 Mar 1945. Later converted to a RB-17G, SB-17G, DB-17G and DB-17P. Retired to Davis Monthan on 29 Jan 1959. To ACME Aircraft Parts on 31 Jul 1959 and later registered to N9323Z. To Western Air Industries in Nov 1960 and converted to a fire tanker. In 1977 restored as a warbird in B-17G configuration and joined the Confederate Air Force on 17 Jan 1978. From 1981 to 1985 fully restored with bomb bay doors and turrets amongst other things. Later renamed Commemorative Air Force and still current in 2023.

Stored WFU. This aircraft is converted for crop spraying and is the former US Navy 37492. WFU and stored at NAS Litchfield Park, AZ 29 Jun 1954 to 1957. To the US civil register as N7270C @1960 and later to N72707 on 28 Jan 1970 with Aircraft Specialities Inc for conversion to an agricultural spreader. Registration cancelled on 20 Feb 2013. It was displayed on a pole at the Mayday mini golf course in North Myrtle Beach, SC and may well still be there in 2023..

Operated by Aircraft Specialities. Originally USAAF 43-17253 then US Navy BuNo 56549. WFU and stored at Davis Monthan in June 1973. To N99AS with Aircraft Specialities on 31 Dec 1975. Later acquired by Brooks Fuel for spares. It was scrapped in 2010 at Falcon Field with the nose section being saved. Cancelled from the FAA registry in Jan 2014.

Operated by Bierget Aviation Inc. Delivered to the USAAF as a C-54D 42-72757. To the US Navy as a R5D-3 with BuNo 56530 in 1945 and redesignated to a C-54Q in 1962. Stored at Davis Monthan in Apr 1971 with inventory code 3C093. To Bierget Aviation on 28 Oct 1975 as N44904 for conversion to an agricultural sprayer. To Brooks Fuel in Fairbanks, AK on 07 Jul 2004. Cancelled on 29 Nov 2012. Noted derelict at Chandler, AZ in 2019.

Owned by Aviation Specialites it was WFU at Mesa Field in 1976. Delivered new to the USAF as VC-121A 48-611 on 31 Dec 1948. WFU and stored at MASDC in Apr 1968. Bought by Kolar Inc on 17 Jun 1971 and acquired by Aviation Specialties on 06 Sep 1972 for conversion to an agricultural sprayer. Registered as N611AS on 26 Mar 1973. WFU 1976. Bought by Globe Air on 18 Feb 1981. To Aerolineas Argo in the Dominican Republic as HI-393 in Nov 1981. WFU and stored at Santo Domingo in Feb 1983. Last noted on 14 Sep 2021. Believed now scrapped.

Stored WFU. This is a PacAero Learstar executive conversion. Built as a 18-10 Lodestar and registered as NC33667 on 15 Mar 1941. Delivered to Brazil as PP-PBC with Panair do Brasil. Later to PP-BHB and PT-ANC. To N34E on 26 Sep 1952 and converted to a 18-14 and later to a 18-55. Cancelled in 1973 and stored at Falcon Field. Bought by Globe Air on 18 Feb 1981 and registered. Later stored and broken up at Ocotilla Wells, CA in 1993. Registration cancelled on 16 Apr 2013.

As hinted at by the registration this aircraft has been converted and is now powered by 450 hp Pratt & Whitney R-985 Wasp Junior engine.
