This registration was cancelled on 16th October 2002 and it though that the aircraft was broken up at around the same time.

Caught by chance near my runway 06 approach position on the way to the QAPS Paintshop at Schiphol East.

Delivered to Kar-Air as OH-VKM in 1957. To Finnair in 1964 then to Harrison Airways as CF-HAF in 1993 and to Key Airlines as N27KA in 1978. Reregistered as N27KE in 1984. To Basler Flight Service in 1986 then to Salair as N356SA later in 1987. Destroyed in a fatal crash near La Romana, Dominican Republic in 1995 due to engine problems after takeoff from Santo Domingo.

This was the second Seaford. After a brief loan to BOAC it returned to the RAF as a transport. However NJ201 was rejected by the Transport Command. About 1949 Short installed a streamlined nose and Solent style wing floats. It was eventually sold to Aquila Airways in 1953 as a Solent III (G-ANAJ) although it was only a partial conversion compared with Seafords converted for BOAC. Sold as N29DR in 1978 then to Combs Airways in 1980 who were renamed to Combs Freightair in 1985. To Basler as N29DR in 1986. Reregistered as N114BF in 1995. Stored at Oshkosh. To Historical Flight Foundation in 2015. Cancelled from the register in 2019. Fate unknown.

ex PSA N172PS, went through different hands before ending up with LACSA for 6 months. In August 1978 to Hawaiian and 2 years later to Zantop. Planned for Charrak Air in Australia, but the deal didn't materialize. WFU and stored at Detroit May 2002 (photographer not known)

A very interesting photo as D-AKYI is not a known registration. No information about date and place but the Nazi war flag flown here dates from November 1935. The Ju 52s seem to be Ju 52/3mg3e bomber/transport planes. Our hunch is that this picture may show aircraft departing to Spain to help Franco airlift his troops from Morocco to start the Civil War in July 1936. Few details are known about this airlift. Ju 52s presumably reached Spain via Fascist Italy, but would have needed to overfly Austria which still existed. This might explain improvised civilian registrations.
