This Convair arrived at MASDC, as it then was, on 14 February 1975, having last served with the 323rd Flying Training Wing, Mather AFB, CA. As can be seen here, many other T-29s and C-131s were also retired in the 1970s and most did not see further service. 53-3477 was later broken up but a sizeable portion of its forward fuselage is preserved at the Aviation Cadet Museum in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

The ex-Duke of Brabant Air Force B-25N PH-XXV was expected to fly again soon after this period of heavy maintenance. It joined the fleet in 2004 while still registered N320SQ in commemoration of 320 Sqdn RNLAF which flew Mitchells from March 1943 to August 1945. The name on the left side translates from Indonesian as something like "are you looking for pleasure?"

Another aircraft cramped in one of the halls of this museum among dozens of old cars. This An-2 was delivered in 1975 to the DOSAAF which became ROSTO Russia in 1991. Two years later it was sold to Sporting Aviacijaa and became LY-AKH. Only three years later, in 1996, the aircraft was shipped to the Transport and Toy Museum in New Zealand.
