Delivered to Northwest Orient Airlines as N290US in 1977. Renamed Northwest Airlines in 1986. Withdrawn from use at Laurinburg-Maxton, NC in 2003. Still there in 2008. Later scrapped.

C-GBYU was one of two CL-215 based at Yellowknife during the 2007 fire season, at that time being operated by Buffalo Airways on behalf of the Northwest Territories Government. This aircraft was built in 1985 and has first been operated by Conair Aviation before joining Buffalo Airways . It appears that this airframe has been modified to CL-415 standard in early 2021 by Viking Air, the owner of the type certificate. The modification mainly consists of new and more powerful turbine engines, plus structural changes on the wing tips and elevator / horizontal stabilizer.

Delivered new 28th June 1978 and became N774AT with American Trans Air 3rd Nov 1993

Northwest Airlines was a major operator of the 727 having flown over 110 of the aircraft. This one was delivered October 5, 1977, retired in 2007 and sold to Charlotte Aircraft Corporation to be parted out. Though still officially Northwest Airlines, Northwest Orient titles began in the late 40s after establishing their trans - Pacific routes. The Orient part was gradually dropped after the merger with Republic Airlines in 1986.
